I think this has been mentioned in the past and it turned out to be a so called 'Urban Legend' like so many of this type of thing- they are of them selves a type of virus/spam/scam.
A good way to check out the veracity of this type of thing- if indeed you are interested enough- rather than simply deleting with the rest of is to
