Elitegroup L4S5MG motherboard

Good morning all,

I'm a newbie to building a PC, but having a go for the sense of satisfaction, fun and avoiding spending on redundant components.

I'm setting up the motherboard, in particular the front panel audio.
The manual (and anything I can find on the website) lists the of the pins on the motherboard Audio1 connector. However the motherboard, which was set up by novatech, has jumpers across four of these pins.

I'm certain that I have correctly identified the block. Any ideas? Remove the jumpers? Forget the front connectors (temporarily?)

thanks, as always, in advance
