I HAVE JUST BOUGHT A PHILIPS STAND-ALONE DVD RECORDER.
WHAT I AM TRYING TO DO IS TO RECORD PROGRAMS ETC FROM SKY DIGITAL AND THEN EDIT THE RESULTING .VOB FILES TO REMOVE ADVERTS ETC.
I HAVE BEEN USING WOMBLE VIDEO WIZARD FOR THE EDITING AND I AM LEFT WITH VARIOUS NEW .VOB FILES WHICH I THEN NEED TO CREATE .IFO FILES FOR IN ORDER TO BURN TO DVD-R.
USING VOBEDIT AND IFOEDIT DOESN'T WORK FOR ME - I END UP WITH 1 OR MORE .VOB FILES WHICH WORK FINE WHEN READ INTO POWERDVD AS MEDIA FILES BUT WHEN THE .IFO IS READ INTO POWERDVD IT JUST HANGS UP!!
I AM SURE THAT WHAT I AM TRYING TO DO IS POSSIBLE - ANY ONE OUT THERE ANY ADVICE??

Turn off your caps lock,as its seen as shouting. :-)

I would try burning the DVD's to a DVD/RW disc, then rip them to pc to edit.
