Editing in PDF

  Bonzy 14:44 22 Feb 06

Hello folks. I need to make changes in a pdf document. How do I do it?
Also how do I convert a document in word to a pdf document? Thanks in advance.

A PDF is not a document with editable text, rather a clever snapshot image of the original.
It carries all the vectors necessary to reproduce it on screen in relatively little filespace.

Unless it is locked to keep it secure from others, you may be able to highlight copy and paste into Word, or at worst, print, scan and OCR it.

Once edited there are several programs cheaper than Adobe Acrobat, which can "print"/save it as another PDF.

There are several applications that allow you to open PDFs in Word, edit, then re-save/re-create as a PDF.

SolidConverter works well with MS Office and adds into the menu for easy use, but it isn't free.
