Editing Autocomplete

  timothywilliam 18:12 02 Oct 06

I run XP and I am on BT broadband. When I fill out forms etc. on line and say, put my name in a box, a text box comes up with suggestions of text. Clicking on a suggestion places that text in the box. Some of the suggested text is incorrect and I want to delete that and have just correct suggestions offered.

How do I edit such 'suggestions' ? Autocomplete in Word for instance offers adding and deleting some but not I notice all that which come up in form filling on line.

Thank you.

Most of it is encrypted in the registry at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Protected Storage System Provider and HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\IntelliForms\SPW

Have you tried moving the mouse pointer down to the one you don't want and pressing the delete key?

Only way I've found is to Clear Forms and start again.

IE, Tools, Internet Options, Content, Autocomplete.
