Would I be right in thinking That ECS who make motherboards as sold in PC World are PC Chips under another name?

PCChips are owned by ECS.

Thanks for the quick response.

Also Matsonic (rebadged PCChips motherboards).

ECS (Elite Computer Systems) bought out PCChips a few years back; Elite is the fourth largest motherboard manufacturer in the world and some of its models are rebadged by other manufacturers for their budget models under their own name.

Cheaper than producing such budget models in their own plants...:-)

From my experience pcchip boards had a short life span, driver and bios upgrade support was non existent. Has this improved under new ownership?
