i have lost my cd i got with the router to set it up does anyone know how i can get a spare try searching the web with no luck or could i use a netgear cd please help

You don't need a CD to configure a Router, although some users do find the wizard helpful.

Type the Router's IP address into your web browser then, when prompted, the Router's Username/Password, and its configuration pages should open.

If you don't know the Router's IP address, connect a computer to it by ethernet cable, open a Command Prompt window ("Start > Run", type CMD and click OK) and at the prompt, type...

ipconfig /all

...and press Enter. This will show details of all network adapters in the PC. Look for the *DEFAULT GATEWAY* address of the adapter that's connected to the Router and that is the Router's IP address.
