eBay site appears messed up, other sites show OK

I am using IE6 with Windows98SE.

For some reason, when I browse to eBay the display is full of large blank areas and all icons replaced by crosses, but other sites, including graphics-intensive sites, display normally. I am not talking about the occasional advert being blocked, lots of stuff just doesn't appear.

I have only moderate ad blocking.
eBay used to display fine for me. Have they adopted some new technology recently that IE6 doesn't support, at least by default?

Any help greatly appreciated...
