Please help,

I have just upgraded to win xp and i cannot get my Pioneer dvd 116 player to autorun on application cd's. Can explore contents in explorer (but slow), will autoplay a music cd (after a lot of sorting). If i double click on drive i get the E:\is not a valid win32 application window, can anybody help please, thanks in advance for any help.

P.S. have cd/rw drive that is functioning correctly.

top draw you have ticked this, have you managed to solve the problem? If not then it could be that the autorun.inf file has been moved and the CDROM is looking in the wrong place for it.

This happens a lot, especially after an upgrade. The autorun.inf file on the root of a drive
tells Windows to search for and run a specific file (as defined in the .inf
file). This is used to autorun a CD when inserted into the drive.
The solution sometimes is to run a search for "autorun.inf" on your hard drive and
delete it if its there.

For anybody that's interested, the problem was the pioneer 116 was configured as a udma drive so changed to PIO and now ok.
