E-mailing - HELP

sorry, again another query!!
I am on AOL at present but hopefully will be going onto Broadband cable. I know that AOL do not support any other e-mail programmes but I really want to use my "incredimail" and "microsoft Outlook" for sending e-mail. I cannot at present do this. MSN works ok though. why is this? Apparently I use POP3 for AOL. Umm little bit stuck?? Any ideas??

The reason is AOL...

I dont use AOL myself, but AOL want you to use there software. There email client...

If they wanted to no doubt they could allow other email clients, Incredimail and OE etc. To access the mail server and then send and recievce mail.

If you use POP3 for AOL then your like everyone else. I'm using Freeserve and also have POP3. Its very common.

I think its just AOL wanting you to use AOL and not third party software.
