e-mailclient (hotmail) sending out spam

  destan 07:42 24 Feb 11

a friends laptop is sending out e-mails to entire contacts list.
here is the message it sends, I have not used the link "click here"
I have run AVG 2011 free, I have used symantecs security checker, howeve. There where 4 files it found embedded in some photographs downloaded from the internet and stopped it sening out this rubbish for 2 weeks.
It has just started sending them out again.

Please advise.

Another colleagues AOL mail is sending out similar URLs to his address bocontacts list.

Both had mcafee but did not resign and left their systems un secured for a while.

Both are now running AVG 2011 free.

Again your advise will be greatly appreciated.

destan....I would suggest your friend download SuperAntiSpyware click here and Malwarebytes click here and C/Cleaner click here and get the latest updates from all three. Once they're updated run full scans only. If there are any bugs,it'll find them.Just make sure you run one, clear the bugs, then reboot, and then move onto the next.Use CCleaner to flush your system out.Hopefully all will then be well.

All the best.

Tell your friend to change his hotmail password. He can keep the address just change the password.
