E-mail virus?

I am having a bit of a problem at the moment - every time I go online and open Outlook Express, my inbox is full of messages from recipients around the world saying that an e-mail I had apparently sent them has been regarded as span and has been blocked.

I have run my virus checker and haven't turned anything up. Nothing appears in my Sent folder.

I'm running XP Pro SP 2 and my anti-virus programme is Eset NOD 32.

Can anyone suggest anything?

Im afraid you have been used in a spam attack.
Normally the only way out of this is to change your email address.
