E mail pop up connect

  trickydicky 11:41 12 Nov 04

Certain E Mails that I receive from companies which when opened pop up the dial up connect box, which you have to click three times to get rid of.I find this annoying and just to satisfy my curiosity I tried to find the html code in the email that causes it to pop up, but to no avail. Why do they have to do this!!.
There will be some clever clogs out there that will know the answer to this.

You will have a setting in IE that says 'dial my default connection...'

The emails you are receiving have HTML code in use to track the email or to bring in images from a remote server. Instead of sending out emails with all the files included companies send mail with links back to one source for images.

Apart from going into IE and changing the connection to never dial not a lot you can do about it.
