E Mail Attachments Splitting

I am using Outlook 2002 and have just started an online course where I get the work by email attachment. At the moment I save them to a course work folder but this still leaves it with the email message in my Outlook folders. Is there any way of splitting the two leaving the message in the email folders and moving the attachment to where I want?

if the file is attached, i usually just download it to a file on my harddrive. i use I.E to browse email so im not sure about email programs. try clicking on the attachement and see if there is a save or download option.

Great thanks, I have been messing about with this for ages. Yes you do a save attachment, then on the message right click attachment and click remove. Cheers.
