E-Mail attachments-HELP

Since installing SP2 I am unable to open photographic attachments. I get the message "This file does not have a programme associated with it for performing this action. Create an asssociation in the folder options programme control panel. Someone please guide me. Thanks.

PRobably the easiest way will be to save the photo and then right click.

Choose "open with" and then the program that you want to use.

Tick the box "always use this program" and click ok.

Thanks for your reply Deodorus but I am a bit thick and can't find the area you suggest.
I have not been able to open the photo at all so how do I save it??

What mail program are you using?

I think it's OE6

Hi carper, I think that you need to check in tools, internet options, click security and down the box you should ensure that the checkbox for "do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus" is unchecked to allow your photos through. Hope that your problem is sorted. If that is not the problem then the attachments could be unreadable.
What types of photo are they?
Regards GJ

Thanks gunner joe, I'll try that. As far as I know one is an HTML attachment and the other is J Peg
