How do i get Outlook Express to notify me when i have received an e-mail.
At the moment i have to keep on downloading my e-mails to see if i have any new ones.

I use Outlook Express 6, running on windows XP Home edition SP2

Leave the connection to OE open. You will then get a downloading symbol in your task bar which will show download emails to be actioned

By open, Enoch meams just minimize OE and carry on with other activities, when you have set OE to check for messages every ?? minutes by going to Tools>options>general and tick the 'check for new messages every ?? minutes, an 'envelope' icon will appear. Do this and send yourself a test message then wait ?? minutes for the icon to appear
