It looks to me as if, for some reason, Virgin's e-mail servers have rejected your e-mail because they don't know or recognise your friend's new address.

It might be worth your friend sending himself an e-mail to see if it arrives in his in-box.

If it doesn't arrive or if it gets rejected in the same way that yours was, he needs to have a chat with Virgin.
