If, for example, an auction starts at £50, and my bid is £120.
I am highest, but sitting at the opening bid of £50.
I now want to go on holiday and raise my max bid.

If I now bid £150, will I outbid myself and go to £120, or will I stay at the opening bid???

If you place your bid with your username,it wont increase.Only if you login with a different username will the bid rise.

Chegs is correct the amount will only change if someone else bids on it, otherwise it will stay at £50.
