DVI-VGA adapters...are they any good?

Hello all,

Just bought a bargain Aopen 6800 GT graphics card (too good a baragin to pass up).

However, the card only has a DVI output.

I only have an old-ish CRT monitor that requires a VGA signal.

I know you can get DVI-VGA adapters and I just wondered if these worked very well or if they are a bit rubbish?

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks.

They serve the purpose that they are intended for.... in other words convert from DVI to VGA.... there is no software involed.
