DVDs not showing in fullscreen?

I have just purchased a new Acer Aspire laptop with a 14:10 ratio screen. My problem is, DVDs are showing in media player as a box in the centre of the screen, instead of expanding to fill the screen. There arfe large black bars on all sides, on a 14:9 presentation...which isnt right surely. Any ideas how to get rid of this

Try double clicking on the picture when its playing. This seems to work in most DVD playing software.

HI dude

Okay either double click on the screen, or if you are using windows media player alt+return. That should send it to full screen.

If the problem is you have black at the top and bottom of your picture it is the wrong contrast ratio, try changing it to 16:9 for normal as you already are on widescreen
