DVD's not burning correctly

Can anyone help me please .

I go through the motions of copying files from my Hard drive to either of my DVD or CD burners. All the steps are described on screen during burning. The disk is burned - you can even see the section that's been burned - but Windows Explorer shows no details of burned disk, and IsoBuster shows nothing. What is happening????
I have Nero, and Windows XP S2.

Please help

When you are burning CD's or DVD's, any programs running in the background can cause a 'Bad Burn'. Are the Nero indicators ever going below 70% an that could cause it.It could also be caused by using a CD blank that is not combatable with your burner. There is a way to slow down the resourses that a program /Hardware needs, however I'm not sure exactly how to do--Over to other readers.
