Evening All,

Just a quick question, can I copy data such as pictures and music files onto a CD/RW disc? A mate needs to copy all important documents from her pc so it can be wiped clean, i have put some files onto a USB memory stick and blan CD/R disc, but there's still about 4Gb left to back-up.
Thanks,
Mat.

Yes if you are not thinking of reusing the RW disk the it can be treated just like a CD-r dick.

Better, if possible, to use a CD-R or DVD-R as RW disks don't have the same reflectivity levels as -R equivalents and may well be unreadable by some other optical drives.

If you use a DVD-R it will also hold many times more data than a CD-R, probably all that you need to backup.

If you fill a DVD-R with the data, you can then copy it as a second backup in case one gets damaged.

You can use -R disks (CD or DVD) in Multisession form and keep adding data until full (if you do so, ensure that after each multisession that the folder is Saved).
