A friend’s band recently played at a gig. They set up a camcorder to record the event. The content was then burnt to a DVD+R on someone elses computer.

I run with XP home SP3 think he runs with Vista. We both have Windows Media player. When he tries to play the DVD on his computer, the picture is pixelated and in negative and jumps all over the place. Yet when I put the DVD into my laptop it plays straight away – no problems. The DVD wont play on his stand alone DVD player either. When I looked at the DVD+R properties it says its file type UDF

Can anyone please suggest what is going wrong and how to remedy the situation.

udf is usually used for rewrite disks.

Thanks for that fruitbat/\0/\. So if we go back to whoever copied the camcorder footage, what sort of format should for just +R discs. I still dont understand why I can play the dvd on my computer and my friend can't play it on his.

Need to burn as an IS file with Nero.
