DVD video

I have a DVD (from work, with company video on, not a commercial disc) that I want to copy to an MPEG file so that I can cut clips from it to insert into a PowerPoint presentation. I have Ulead VideoStudio 9 with which to cut out the relevant clips, but can't find a way to copy the DVD to an appropriate video format (preferably MPEG) to start with. Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance,
