It all depends on how big the file was.4gb in 25 minutes burned at 2x with nero thats what i usually get.Obviously if you use 4x you half the time needed and so on.What size was the film?

hi Billbod, the file size I was burning on to a dvd was 0.86 of 4,38 gb 1 hour of video, the disk I I'm using is a maxell dvd-r 4.7gb 1-8x speed 120 mins video. if that helps

It takes 8mins 15secs for me to burn 4.37gb at 8x
speed.15mins at 4x speed. It might be worth trying another brand of disc,I use Verbatim.
I burn with a Pioneer 108.Also check your software settings for a quick burn, rather than copying to the hard drive and then to disc. The speed of your PC could also be a factor.
