DVD Shrink out of memory error

While backing up a shop bought DVD, during the initial scan, at only 13% analysing, I am getting an error message as follows:

"DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue. Out of memory. Not enough storage is available to process this command."

I have 17.5 Gb free space on my HDD.
Task manager has 96% system idle. CPU usage 4%. PF usage 249MB.
I have 1Gb of RAM in a XP pro machine running DVD Shrink 3.2.

Any ideas what is causing this please??
Cheers, Garry.

It's a common error with no real solution.

go into the options tab and uncheck the 'enable burning with nero' tab and back up the dvd to the hard drive, shut down dvdshrink when done and use nero to burn the .vob files to disk

there are some soloutions but more info on the type of your drive please

Unfortunately the drive is irrelevant, this is a known and VERY common error with dvd shrink, sometimes overcome by using an older version, othertimes and mostly by disabling the nero burning option, sometimes never, and in this case I'd recommend using another backup solution.
