I have an LG DVD rom How do I find out what region code it is set to and if I need to how can I change the code to all regions

If you purchased it in the UK or Europe it will be Region 2, If you got it in North America it will be Region 1.

It will/should be set to Region 2.

If you wish to change it (maximum five) go to My Computer>Properties>Device Manager>highlight drive>Properties>DVD Region tab and alter as required.

However, unless you have DVD disks from another region, this will be unnecessary.

A list of the regions can be found at:

The program "AnyDVD" will let you play disks from any region on any DVD ROM but it isn't free.

No sorry

My ALBA DVD came set to region 0 out of the box and only cost £24. You find now that most of the cheepy ones are multi region but the more expensive ones are set to region 2.
