This posting is to do with home recorders not P.C.

Your link was to do with home dvd recorders, I want recommendations for a p.c. dvd recorder.

Fair selection of DVD Writers on this website

I have both the Pioneer and LG GSA 4040 writers but for recording to DVD it is far quicker to use the DVD Home recorders. Editing home movies etc. is
probably better done on the PC drive but I only use mine for transfer of VHS tapes or recording TV. Use the DVD-RAM discs as sub for VHS tape in VCR. These
RAM discs last virtually forever without wearing out and unlike VHS tape the quality remains the same. The PC writers are changing fast now with
higher speeds 16x and dual layer but not many utilise DVD-RAM - the only one I can think of is the LG altho the Pioneer can read RAM discs.
