Can anyone explain the hard drive meanings to me please, I guess the bigger the better? but what happen's when hard drive is full do you have to replace it? or can you continue to record
I was looking at a cheap DVDR but it only had 6 hours of recording (thats what the litrature said not sure what it means).
Sorry if this is a stupid question (mine usually are lol)but I want to find out BEFORE I buy not after.

Are you talking about a dvd recorder for your television, or one that you can fit into your computer?

If you are looking at a "cheap" recorder it almost certainly will not have a HDD. the 6 hours will refer to the maximum size of recording on a DVD disk (you should see a number of lengths from 1hour max quality to 6 hours low quality.

Your recording time will only be limited by the number of DVDs that you buy.

This subject was discussed in great detail at the beginning of the year. click here

Have a read this should enlighten you on the different DVD / HDD formats used for "Under the TV" recorders.
