DVD-RAM and .VRO file problem

I have stored a TV film on DVD-RAM, just as you might use a VCR. I want to ut this on hard drive and edit out the adverts. I cannot emphasise too strongly that this is 100% only for my personal use.

On other occasions I have transferred a DVD_RTAV folder which contains two small VR_MANGR files and a large .VRO file.

Now I am finding something really strange.
I have a DVD-RAM film which did play. Maxell media formatted in Panasonic DMR-E20. Currently it does not seem to want to play. In the DVD-RAM drive it shows up as a DVD_RTAV folder but it only contains the two VR_MGR files. The folder properties show only 1.24 kb. If I go up and query properties on the drive itself it shows 4.26 GB used - no free space.

Any idea what is happening please. As I said I have a couple of others conyaining the .VRO file.
The file system is UDF and OS is XP.

Strange. DVD-RAM now playing fine and transferring to hard disk.

Doubtless one of those 'computer thingies' at work. Have marked as resolved.
