Just wondering if anyone can give me some advice on how i might be able to get a DVD movie onto my PSP. Obviously i need to get the DVD onto my computer and then somehow convert it so that i can then get it onto my memory stick for my PSP. Is there any way you can do this? If there is how do i do it and is it legal/illegal etc. Any suggestions would be great.

I heard about this program called Magic DVD ripper. Don't know if it's legal or not. Find out yourself

Hi Mr "B",

This will do what you are asking. click here

It will convert VOB files into files that will play on your PSP.

VOB files are the MPEG2 files you will find on the DVD. Most modern DVD's are copyright protected and the VOB files are encoded in such a way as to prevent you from 'ripping' them from the DVD.

VOB Files are also split up on the DVD into 1GB segments and these need to be assembled into one continues file for your PSP.

The program I use for this on non copyrighted disks is DVD shrink.

Good Luck
