This is not a pc question but would be glad of advice. When playing dvd films I have to turn volume on tv very high to hear properly. It is a new dvd player. There is only a scart cable on dvd.
The tv has scarts and this as well:HDMI/ in 1 and
HDMI in 2. I am using an ordinary scart cable

Perhaps this is an obvious and simple reply, but are you aware that many DVD
players have their own, internal volume control? Perhaps your volume settings
on the DVD player -- not the TV -- need to be adjusted.
