DVD playback problems

What I initially thought was a problem with DVD authoring software appears to be a fault on my PC.

When I play back a DVD using any of the media payers that are installed, lets say Windows MP 9, I get two images ovelapping each other, and the screen is distorted.

This applies to "home made" and commercial DVD's, that play fine on a DVD recorder connected to the telly.

The regional setting is correct, but I can't see an obvious tab to correct this error.

Is it a problem with the a DVD drive setting ? Video files, such as MPEG, also appears odd when played back.

I run Windows XP on a E8400 Core 2 Duo PC.

This could be a codec missing (and WMP11 would be a better choice)

Try downloading the codecs from:

Or if you rather not mess with codecs try VLC player its free and if it dont play with that I would say you do have problems
