My computer will not play DVD video.Windows media player 9 gives the message a "problem occured with digital copyright protection"and
Media Bar player gives the message"key exchange for DVD copy protection failed".
I've tried to restore the licenses and checked the box to automatically get licenses but it did not work.My system is a Sony Vaio PCV-RX201
running XP Home. Can someone please help?

go into Options in media player, and untick all boxes, and apply.

This should sort out all your problems.

PS. That should read "Options-Privacy"

Problem solved. There was no Mpeg2 codec installed. Downloaded one and everything is OK.
Thanks for the help.
