I have converted some footage from a camcorder and burnt to a dvd, when i play on the pc it is ok it is also ok on both my daughters dvd players on their tv but on my dvd player it plays for about 40 to 50 minuets and then goes funny ie sound in stages and picture keeps flashing like coloured pixils.I am using rewritable discs.Any one any ideas please.

I understand from other posts on the subject that rewritable disks can be a problem, something about poor reflectivity from the disk surface, try using DVD-R disks.

Step 2 don't burn up to the full capacity of the disk (i.e.leave some space). I only burn to 4.2Gb rather than the full 4.7Gb as the outer edge is the place where you get most problems of poor disk quality

If that is the problem why do they play ok on my daughters dvd players. I am not burning the full disc only 3.4 gb. Could it be the discs overheating.
