hi
can you pleae tell me how to find out what type od dvd i need for my computer

do i need a + or a - dvd ?

you can either open the case and read the details of your drive ie make model no. then enter these details in google. You could use something like sisoftsandra to tell you what the details of your drive are. Most but not all drives can read any dvd and if it is a writer again most will write to most of the formats.

Depends on what make your drive is, if using XP go into My Computer, right click the drive and select `properties`, click on the `hardware` tab, you should see the dvd drive listed giving the make and model, once you have that info post it back here and someone will hopefully be able to tell you what format discs it can use.

If it is a newer drive it will probably be able to use both formats ok.
