I have a laptop with a Toshiba SD-2502 DVD ROM

DVD Magic does not recognise it as a DVD Rom

The Drivers are up to date

Per the Toshiba website it needs no specific driver and seems to use cdrom.sys by default

I can play DVD's without problems

Any suggestions?

The general consensus on this program is that it is in the main "Poo". In order for it to recognize the dvd you want to copy or backup you have to load the dvd into the drive before you run the program, dvd magic should then pick it up.

good luck in getting it running there have been several posts about the problems encountered, and indeed only a couple of members have reported success.

I can`t get DVD Magic to recognise my Pioneer A05 DVD writer, which is connected to my Windows XP system by firewire. Pre-loading the DVD makes no difference whatsoever. Has anyone found a cure for this? Or, can the authors be contacted for support?
