The continuing saga of my cd-rw/dvd unit. I've downloaded and installed Chipset drivers from AMD. Thought I had the problem licked until I tried to play a DVD and got the message

DVD Error Message - Internal Error No. 80900016

Can anyone please explain what this error is or where I could find out.

Your help is appreciated.

Jester, Sorry just got your message and am sorry to be running two threads on this one. As mentioned in my other thread I'm running Power DVD Version 2.5 For Evesham Micros. Do you think I need an update or new program and where can I get it.

Thank you for taking the time to respond.

See that they have Power DVD Version 5 in Amazon - do you think I should go for it?

Should mention that I went out today and bought a CD/DVD Lens Cleaning kit. Well in turned out to be a CD with the tinyest brushes. Most expensive 28 seconds of music I shall ever purchase. Didnt make any difference, but at least I've cleaned the lens.

I would get a nerwer version of Power DVD and see how that goes. You can get PowerDVD (3 / 4)OEM in local PC shops sometimes. Usually about £5-8. Try a newer version (don't forget to get latest patch from click here too)

I assume that Amazon are selling PowerDVD 5 for £40?? Bit of an expensive gamble though....

If no-one comes up with anything else try and get PowerDVD 3 or 4.

But nice music, right?

This doesn't help with your current problem but keep that cleaner disk safe. If you find the drive clunking, whirring and clicking when trying to access a disk, use it.

Jester2K and VoG. Thank you for responding. Am off to try and find an OEM of Power DVD 3 or 4
