DVD Decoder needed

Dear Forum,

I have just obtained a new work laptop (I have admin rights on it so can install stuff, etc.)

I just went to play a DVD on it....and I was told I needed a DVD Decoder.

This laptop has Windows 2000 installed and has an ATI Radeon 9600 card. I have already installed Windows Media Player 9.

When I looked on the Radeon website I noticed a download for a DVD Decoder...but it said I would need the original installation CD that came with the graphics card....being a work laptop....I dont have this CD.

Is there any way around this?

Windows cannot play DVDs without a DVD codec, this is only really available by installing 3rd party DVD software. Try click here

you can download the dvd decoder for media player which will let you play dvds using media player if you click here

Or you can downlaod and install the k-lite codec pack if you click here
