i recently had to install a new hard drive and reinstall windows home xp ... , well since ive tried playing dvd's i get a pop-up saying "Windows Media Player connot play this DVD because a compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer .... i clicked on the pop-up link to details .. and this came..

its a HL-DT-ST RW/DVD GCC-4120B DVD/CD-R COMBO if thats any help

You need a software decoder such as Win DVD or Power DVD to playback the DVD's. Win Media Player does not natively playback DVD's on it's own.
