DVD backups...

Simple question, but I normally use CD's.

As there is so much space on a DVD, if I want to back up a certain number of applications over a period of time, can I add them to the DVD at different times or do I have to do them all at once?

I think it will be Nero that I will be using.

When doing your first burn, select data disk in Nero, add your files to backup, press Next & make sure to select the box to 'Allow files to be added later (multisession disk)' - screenshot click here.

To see if it actually works, do the first burn, then on completion, restart Nero & try to add more files to your recently created 'multisession disk.' G

DVDs are much more delicate than CDs and very much more prone to damage and data loss.

I would even use CDs for backing up and most certainly most DVDs.

Sorry, most important "not"s were missed out of my reply above.

It should read:

I would not even use CDs for backing up and most certainly not DVDs.

My excuse is that it's early in the morning.

I too would rather use CD's, but the capacity on a DVD makes them favourite for a temporary backup at the moment.
