Dual identity on XP

I am the sole user on my PC which was built with XP installed and registered in my name.

Following a hard disk failure and fitting of a new one I seem to have acquired a dual identity on the reinstalled XP. Both involve my name "Joe Bloggs". The first installation used Bloggs, the second Joe. Now every time I call up a document I get the message "This document is being used by Bloggs. Do you want to make a copy?"

I've had it suggested that this is a quirk of XP and cannot be corrected - what do the experts say to this?

Go to Control Panel; User Accounts. Click on the User Account you don't want and delete it

Thanks Jackcoms. I had already tried that but there is no Guest User and I am logged on as Joe. I need to find where Bloggs is hiding.
