  Yarden_HHH 23:54 11 Aug 08

my computer has dual core 3.20 GHz 2 CPUs and it recognize only 1.60 GHz
I Play Assains Creed
and it recodnize only 1.60 GHz
what do i need to do to make it work as 3.20GHz?

1 Cpu 1.60 GHz
And The Other 1.60 GHz
can somebody help me with my problem?

There's no problem. The spped shown is the speed of the CPU.
My quad core shows as Q6600 @ 2.4ghz, as that's the speed it's running at,not 9.6ghz.
So yours should show T2330 @ 1.6ghz,if thats the name of your CPU.

my CPUs Name is Dual cure
i just dont know if it is just one core or tow
and if it is just the speed 1.60GHz

You have a "dual core" cpu.
It has effectively two seperate cpu's on the on the one chip, each operating at 1.6GHz.
2 x 1.6GHz = 3.2GHz !

Your dual core is working as it should.
1.6GHZ is the speed at which it runs and the dual core boosts it to a total of 3.2ghz when needed.
Download and install pcwizard(free).
Click on the cpu icon and it will tell you how many cores your CPU has.

six-h - It doesn't quite work like that. If it is in fact a 1.6GHz dual core then that's the speed it runs at 1.6GHz.

Too complicated now.Lets just tell him alls ok.Lol
The CPU shows as 1.6ghz as that's the speed it runs at.
When you multitask or stress the cpu,the second core can kick in,so you have two cores then running at 1.6ghz.Even then,it's still 1.6ghz,but can do more than a 1.6ghz single core.
Two cars can each go at 140mph flat out,a total of 280mph.If they both tow an object together flat out, they can still only go 140mph,although doing more work.
If one car was towing on it's own,it might only tow the heavy object at 80mph.
1.6ghz is correct for a dual core.
I'm going to bed.

So with my E8400, both cores are running at 3GHz?
Wow!, I believed they were each running at 1.5GHz.
....not that it makes any difference. lol

CPU-Z click here should also tell you what it is.

No, your 3.0GHz is running at 3.0GHz however if it were 1.6GHz as Yarden_HHH seems to have then that's what speed it runs at.
