Hi,

My computer is currently running windows xp home edition sp2 (Upgrading to vista home basic)
Now what I want to do is dual boot with Linux, this is beacuse I want to see what it is like and see if I can get some wireless drivers to work on linux as they do not work when in live cd mode.
Anyway Does anyone know How I can do it and How I can save certain partitions. for instance My dell Backup partition. The last time I installed Linux I ended up losing all partions and the backup one so the computer is useless.

So does anyone know If they can help me set up linux in dual booting and keeping all of my urgent partitions

Thanks
Ben

I would recommend run from a live CD first, something like Puppy Linux to see if all your hardware is compatible click here

A live CD runs from the CD disk and doesn't put anything on you hard drive.
