Dual boot default choice change

One of my PCs dual boots XP and ME using XPs own boot manager. It currently defaults to booting ME but I would like to change that to XP. The boot manager screen says Press F8 For Advanced Options but I can't immediately see any option to change the default (am I missing something?). Any information on how to alter the boot choices will be gratefully received.

Boot into XP. Right click My Computer, select Properties > Advanced tab > Startup and Recovery Settings.

In the box for default operating system, click the drop down list to select "Microsoft XP Home (or Professional)" /fastdetect

Click OK. Next time you start computer, the default choice of OS will be XP.

if u enter bios u need to change th eboot sequence to boot the parition/ drive with XP on then ME

You shouldn't need to go into the BIOS, follow temp003's instructions, that should sort it for you, medicine hat.
