Dual boot default choice change

One of my PCs dual boots XP and ME using XPs own boot manager. It currently defaults to booting ME but I would like to change that to XP. The boot manager screen says Press F8 For Advanced Options but I can't immediately see any option to change the default (am I missing something?). Any information on how to alter the boot choices will be gratefully received.

Boot into XP. Right click My Computer, select Properties > Advanced tab > Startup and Recovery Settings.

In the box for default operating system, click the drop down list to select "Microsoft XP Home (or Professional)" /fastdetect

Click OK. Next time you start computer, the default choice of OS will be XP.

You shouldn't need to go into the BIOS, follow temp003's instructions, that should sort it for you, medicine hat.
