dual boot 98 & xp

I dual boot with windows 98se & xp pro and now i have sorted everthing in xp i want to delete 98 se.
How do i do this without losing what i have on xp.

help please Thankyou

personally I would back up all my info and wipe the drive. Re-install XP afresh.

assuming 98 is on c: and xp is on d: there is an easy compromise.

Reduce the size of c: partition to bare minimum having deleted all but windows system files etc. (ie remove applications and data) Probably about 1 gig should do.

Increase d: to use the freed space.

Set default operating sytem to xp and time delay to "0" or "1" second. (look in xp control panel\system\advanced\startup and recovery)

This way you won't notice that 98 is there but in an xp emergency its presence may just help out!
