DSL Drop Out

My ISP is Waitrose via BT.

Since 31st August I find that the DSL connection drops out and then re-connects at exactly 06:40 every morning Monday to Friday. It does not happen on Saturday or Sunday.

I have tried turning off everything except the router - Thomson TG585v7 - and disconnecting all telephones at 06:15. The connection is ethernet only - wireless is disabled. I cannot see anything locally which is switching on / off at this time.

Broadband speed is 488 / 3000. This has reduced from 488/6500 up / down.

ISP has so far been unable to help

Initial recation is that it is the ISP dropping the connection and re-establishing.

I'm with PlusNet (part of BT these days) and every few days they go through a process of breaking / making the connection several times. I think they do this to assit in determining the service level that can be supported.

Do you know if the router re-boots entirely or does the router stay powered up throughout? If the router re-boots, it might suggest that there is an appliance that momentarily sucks power in your property at 06:40 (e.g. Central Heating kicking in).

ISP says that this is nothing to do with any action on his part.

I have tried disconnecting all electrical equipment but it does not help.
