Dropped IE7 Connection in Vista

Hope someone can help, this problem is driving me crazy.
1. I am running IE7 on vista (first PC)
2. My first PC is directly connected to my router.
3. My second (XP Pro)PC has a wireless connection from the router.
4. The internat connection drops intermittently on the Vista PC and I have to re-boot to get connection back.
5. I am still able to ping websites successfully.
6. I can still download email thru Oulook.
7. I saw it may be a DNS problem with my ISP but they deny that is the case.
8. I disabled anti-virus and fire wall to troubleshoot but still got same connection drop.

I never loose connection on the wireless PC so I think the problem is with Vista not my ISP or router setup.
Any ideas?
Many thanks

Forgot to mention. Sometimes the connection stays alive for minutes, sometimes hours and sometimes days. There doesn't seem to be a pattern.
Thanks agian.
