I am running windows 98se and have an ATI Rage II+PCI Video Card. The driver(ati_m64) for the video card is uncertified and has caused windows to run in MSDOS mode. I have tryed to reinstall the driver but no luck. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

try setting your display back to standard svga.
then uninstall your graphic card drivers through the controll panel/add remove programs.

then right click on My Computer, choose properties, then device manager (this is from memory so i appologise if its wrong, its different on XP) click display adaptors, then right click and remove(delete) the graphic card.

press f5 to refresh screen, win ME should find new hardware, if it doesnt then you may have to shutdown and restart your pc.

then when you get the found new hardware, you can install the card again with the new driver.

good luck.
