Driver urgently required

Hi All, I have been given a laptop to sort out for a colleague. It is an AST Ascentia P series running Win. 98. All was going well until I came to the dreaded yellow exclamation mark in device manager for the PCIC or compatible PCMCIA controller. The AST web site must be closed down because I can't access it. I have loaned out my own Win 98 disc so I don't know if the driver will be on that. Any ideas. Cheers, Bill

Try doing a seacrch on Google.com or similar with 'AST pcmcia drivers' I found quite a few sites.

Try going to the Microsoft site. Go to support and see if you can find a generic to download.

You are going to have get your own Win98 disk back because the driver could well be on there.
If it isn't I have just tried Driver.com and there is a whole load of drivers for PCMCIA cards on there, so if you can find the make and model of the one installed you may be able to get a driver from there.
